Effigy

Embody the piece to work.

Write down the flowing ideas, surfing on the waves.

Reverberating on the surface pages.

A blackbird plants a stick into the ground.

Then flew off into the flock.

Slowly, layers build up, where is the first one again?

This that I’ve made, continues to expand, overlapping me.

A business man walk through the city,

Unaware of the world below.

As the light turned off, candles are lit.

A cat slumps on the side street.

Retreating back through the door flap,

Behind this window, the scenery viewed is reformed.

Burning in blue flame of ink.

More, more it’s rages on,

Past outlines blur, fading away.

A stupid rebelliousness of youth,

Takes a car ride around a track.

Turning, twisting, causing sparks to fly off the engine.

This effigy burns brightly in the park.

Skull and thorax, both filled by pink mush,

With hollowness below, shout out as,

Fireworks are bursting inside.

Fill up the water jug,

And pour down overhead.

Cover our eye in a blanket.

Saying stuff like ‘go on like this’,

Because

You can’t be seen or remembered, right?

Retreating back through the door flap.

Behind this window, the scenery viewed is reformed.

Burning in blue flame of ink.

More, more it’s rages on.

The past outlines blur, fading away.

A stupid rebelliousness of youth,

Take a car ride around a track.

Turning, twisting, causing sparks to fly off.

This effigy burns brightly in the park.

Skull and thorax, both filled by pink mush,

With hollowness below, shout out as,

Fireworks are bursting inside.

They fall slowly, into a black base of blankness.
